Are you by appointment?
Yes, Andria Bird Bride is by private appointment only.
How long are appointments?
First gown fittings are an hour and fifteen minutes, and accessories appointments are 45 minutes. Don't worry about running out of time! You can always schedule a follow-up appointment with us. If for any reason you think you will need more time, please give us a call prior to booking your appointment!
Are the only appointments available listed on your scheduling page?
Not at all! Our scheduling page is to book high-traffic days like Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Andria Bird Bride does offer appointments during the week, as well as earlier on or later in the day to accommodate work schedules. Please shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at 401-924-3789 to inquire about weekday availability.
How many people should I bring to my appointment?
We recommend that you bring two to four of your most trusted family and friends. Andria Bird Bride is a small, intimate space, so larger parties can feel pretty cramped. We also find that it is less overwhelming and stressful for the bride if there are not too many opinions in the room. It is all about you, how you want to look, and how you feel! Don't want to bring anyone? That's fine, too! Plenty of our brides come in solo.
What should I bring to my appointment?
While you don't have to bring anything with you, we suggest that you wear nude undies and bring a pair of shoes that are easy to slip on and off in-between trying on gowns.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We ask that you give Andria Bird Bride at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Please remember that Andria Bird Bride is a small, intimate boutique that only takes one bride at a time, which means a limited number of brides per day. For all no-show appointments or late cancellations, a $50 fee will be charged to the bride. This fee can be used for a future bridal gown purchase.
Will I need alterations?
Yes. Andria Bird Bride will take your measurements when you are ready to order your gown. While your gown is made-to-order, it is not made to your specific measurements, so alterations will be required to get a perfect fit. Andria Bird Bride has a list of trusted seamstresses in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York for your alterations needs. Alterations are not included in the price of your gown, but you can expect to pay somewhere between $200-$500, depending on how much you want and need done to your gown.
What sizes do you have at Andria Bird Bride?
We carry sample sizes 4-14, depending on the style and designer.
Can I have a custom gown made?
Yes! Andi, the owner and designer at Andria Bird Bride, has her degree in fashion design and would love to help you have a custom gown made. Usually, a bride will find a great "base dress" in the shop that fits beautifully and meets most of the marks, which we can then customize!
What is the price range at Andria Bird Bride?
Andria Bird Bride may be in Newport, but please don't be discouraged by our location. We can accommodate most bridal budgets! Our gowns vary in price from $1000-$4000, with the majority of our gowns falling between $1500-$2500.
